Here is the champion of the senior spelling category, Vayun Krishna from Sunnyvale, CA! Vayun won the WishWin – SpellPundit National Senior Online Spellathon, which was held in September 2020. Great job, Vayun!
About 170 spellers from 5th through 8th grade participated in the preliminary written tests comprising of 25 spelling and 25 vocabulary questions. Vayun was one of 104 spellers to qualify to the semifinals based on his written test score, and he was one of the top 4 spellers in his semifinals group to advance to the Grand Finals. Vayun lasted many grueling rounds to claim the championship.
Vayun has been a SpellPundit student for the last 3 years. The SpellPundit team wishes Vayun all the very best for the 2021 spelling bee season and the last year of his spelling bee career!

Here is the champion, Faizan Zaki from Allen, TX. Faizan won the WishWin – SpellPundit National Junior Online Spellathon, which was held in September 2020. Way to go, Faizan!
To win the championship, Faizan outlasted 145 other spellers in the Junior Spellathon. He was one of 100 spellers to qualify to the semifinals based on his written test score. Then Faizan was the one of the top 4 spellers in his semifinals group, which selected him for the Grand Finals. After many nail biting rounds, Faizan was declared champion. It was amazing to see how he tackled the words to withstand the competition!

We are happy to announce that SpellPundit and Morph (www.morph.org) are co-sponsoring a project to help underrepresented students qualify for the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee. The recent events in the US highlighted that some sections of the society do not have resources to reach their full potential and this new initiative is a small contribution to help the cause.
We are looking for students who have the ambition to be in the Scripps National Spelling Bee (and on ESPN) but do not have the financial resources to prepare.
This is completely free for the qualified students, who will receive the best coaching and study resources.
