Congratulations to the 2023 SpellPundit Senior Spelling Bee Grand Finalists! These spellers are real logophiles and mastered words originating from different languages. We are excited that many of the finalists will be competing in 2023 Scripps National Spelling Bee from May 31st to June 2nd in National Harbor, MD.
The Senior Grand Finals will be streamlined on Facebook tomorrow (April 23rd) at 4 pm CT (2 pm PT or 5 pm ET). We are looking forward to a memorable Grand Finals!
Please encourage other spellers/friends/family members to watch the grand finals and learn a few esoteric words.
Spellers participated in the SpellPundit National Online Senior spelling bee written tests today (Sunday, 9th April). These written tests were designed to challenge the spellers’ spelling and vocabulary knowledge with a hodgepodge of words.
The semifinalists and their groups will be announced by Tuesday, April 11th by noon as we have a make-up written test tomorrow.
Here are the images of about 120 spellers who took part in the senior spelling bee preliminary written tests.
About 100 junior spellers from pre-k through 4th grade completed 4 written tests today. These young spellers are tech savvy and zoom experts so the written tests went smoothly with parents’ cooperation as well.
