The top 80 to 100 spellers advancing to the next phase of the competition in both junior and senior spelling bee categories will be announced by Tuesday.

A few hundred Junior Spellers participated in the first phase of the online spelling bee competition today. The preliminary written tests were conducted for Kindergarten through 4th graders with 25 spelling questions and 25 vocabulary questions. Here are a few glimpses of the spellers:
